We had a really good meeting last night for Keep Glendo Great! Despite the short notice, hunting season, and Josh Allen playing on Monday Night Football, we had almost 20 folks come to the meeting and go through some of the nuts and bolts.
As I told everyone at the beginning of this process, it is sometimes messy and confusing, but we have had one of the six committees meet, and two more will meet next week. What we need to do now is build the “wish list” if you will, of the things we need to do, want to do, and hope to achieve.
Last night, we joined the Platte County Chamber of Commerce and Jackie Bauder is our board member – thank you for stepping up! This is just one step along the way, but it is a big one.
We are working to improve communication, and get information out to all of you, and appreciate your patience as we grow. ALL of the committee meetings will be posted here, and all are welcome to attend any or all of them – if you want to see positive things happen, be positive, be a part of the process and step up!
We have a lot to do, but we also have a LOT to offer – the most important thing we have to offer is our own time and energy. I look forward to seeing everyone at the next meeting – we will be putting the final draft of the Strategic Plan together at that meeting and we need to hear from you!
